Welcome to the Innate Immunity Group

Complement Deposition in Regenerating Liver
Complement Component 3 Activation
Welcome to the homepage of the research group of Professor John D. Lambris at the University of Pennsylvania.

An international, interdisciplinary team of postdoctoral fellows, Ph.D. students and technicians join their efforts to investigate the various aspects of innate immunity, and particularly the complement system, in health and disease. Our integrated research approach encompasses projects such as the quantitative analysis of protein-protein interactions of complement components, the development of therapeutic complement inhibitors (e.g. Compstatin), complement evasion by human pathogens, and the role of complement in liver regeneration and cancer development.

We invite you to explore our web site to learn more about our lab and the scientific work of its members.
